- 1 cup coconut milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 shallots, minced
- 1 tsp tamarind paste
- 2 tsp palm sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt, to taste
Peanut Sauce Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, heat the coconut milk over medium heat until it comes to a simmer.
- Add the garlic, shallots, tamarind paste, palm sugar, coriander, cumin, cayenne pepper, and salt to the pan and stir to combine.
- Add the ground peanuts to the pan and stir until the sauce is smooth and well combined.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature before serving with the sate ayam.
